CAERDROIA: A residency producing artwork with the local community installed in a mile long woodland labyrinth built in the Gwydyr Forest. Research included recording walks and map making with forest workers and dwellers. Artworks included a clay bread oven, a textile hanging made in collaboration with two local artists: Martin O’Neill and Wendy Docksey and ‘The Giant’s Mantle’ a living lichen coat installed in the forest made collectively with members of the community of Llanwrst.. Caerdroia is a five year project which involves an annual month long community performance of outdoor sensory theatre in the labyrinth.
Residency supported by Artwork Wales, Cynefin, Academi, Cyd Coed and North Wales Stage. March – July 2005
