Climate Change

Earthling is an interdisciplinary project with Ruth Nutter (arts producer), Lucy Neal (ex director of LIFT London International Festival of Theatre) and Ruth Ben-Tovim (Encounters Arts) to develop opportunities to support people in getting in touch with their ecological identity and finding motivation and inspiration to create personal and social change towards more sustainable living.

Earthling project strands are based around the arts, experiential learning, sharing stories and giving voice to and sharing the emotional and spiritual impacts of our current ecological crisis and exploring our own very personal relationships to our world. Earthling weaves together ecopsychology, creativity and environmental education.

Earthling tales: collecting motivational stories and insight from change makers, activists and people working towards sustainability in the form of a multi-media presentation providing dynamic opportunities for the audience to participate and input into the development of the project.

Earthling workshops: providing integrated workshops and activities for people of all ages to explore together issues around climate change and sustainability using best practice engagement methods from environmental education, arts, creativity.

Dr Carbon was developed by Ruth Ben-Tovim and myself working with Jonathan Atkinson with architect/design by James Halsall, Dave Ros and Jordan Lloyd as part of the Four Corners project (see diverse).

Dr Carbon offers tailor-made consultations to individuals and family groups on reducing carbon footprints from his custom-made shed. He/she takes the lead from people's specific personal circumstances, desires and habits. Dr Carbon appeared at the Bluecoat, Liverpool as part of the Four Corners exhibition and events. Dr Carbon is available for events and festivals.

I have been invited to be a a project advisor for the New Economics Foundation, London generating creative ideas on artistic and community engagement events linking the steps needed to reduce carbon emissions with increased well-being and happiness April 09, funded by Arts Council (England).
