A Patch of Ground, DARTS, Doncaster, Spring-Summer 2010

Working with Ruth Ben-Tovim as co-deviser and associate artist on Patch of Ground, Doncaster (see Patch of Ground below for project details). This involves a group of cross-generational participants from Doncaster creatively exploring nature, environment and ecology together every week for three months. This includes creating a small permaculture inspired garden for food growing; cooking and eating together and sharing ideas, fears, stories about the natural world leading to an exhibition and series of public performances.

Four Corners, Bluecoat, Liverpool

In 2009 I was invited to programme and co-devise the Four Corners exhibition and events at the Bluecoat, Liverpool working with Ruth Ben-Tovim from Encounters Arts as well as working on exhibition and graphic design elements with Jo Salter.

Four Corners is a city-wide community project involving 6 different communities and five different arts organsiations (The Bluecoat, Everyman Playhouse, ICDC Liverpool John Moores University, Arts in Regeneration and Encounters Arts). The projects were themed around Liverpool's 'Year of the Environment'. As a culmination and celebration of these projects across the city, we programmed a week of exhibitions, performances, exchanges, discussions and films exploring environmental and ecological themes at Bluecoat, Liverpool in July 09. This included the co-creation of Dr Carbon (see Climate Change strand for more info) and the Eco Fools to animate the event as well as two days of reskilling workshops and a world cafe event.

A Patch of Ground, Liverpool

A Patch of Ground involved 16 participants from across Liverpool age 6-80 years, creatively exploring nature, environment and ecology together every week for three months. This included creating a small permaculture inspired garden in the Bluecoat, cooking and eating together and sharing ideas, fears, stories about the natural world leading to an exhibition and series of public performances at Bluecoat, Liverpool.
